How nervous do you: get? Some anxiety is normal and can even be helpful. When it becomes excessive it interferes w/functioning in life and comfort level. If that's the case consider seeing a clinical psychologist for your anxiety. Spontaneous erections are normal, especially in young men. See your doc for an exam to rule out medical conditions. See www.relaxationresponse.org for some self-help. Peace & health.

A 36-year-old member asked:
Is it normal if you do not get morning erections?

Specializes in Pediatric Urology
Absolutely: Morning erections are often related to bladder fullness. Are more common in boys than in men and frequency of morning erections tends to reduce with age. Do not worry about this.
