Unlikely: Since you have the Nexplanon device implanted, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Your periods cannot possibly be normal all the time because you are not ovulating.... so you do not have periods. It is important to understand that Progestin only devices like Nexplanon stop ovulation and regular menses and may cause you to bleed irregularly and oddly, much like you are describing.

Potassium lvl of 2.8 w/ 80 meq of potassium a day? Takes spirolactone, trimeterine and others for chf. Causes for this? Treatment options?

Diuretic use: Low potassium in a patient with CHF is most commonly due to diuretic use. Treatment options under a doctor's supervision include the use of ace inhibitors or ace blockers which are useful in CHF and can raise potassium, or increasing the dose of the spirinolactone, triampterine or potassium. Magnesium should be checked as well.

A 39-year-old female asked:
How can I find out if my back problems are causing my detrusor instability? I have had three lumbar fusions. I started urinating 14 times a day after my last back surgery which was an alif. I am taking oxybutynin for frequency now but how can I be sure it

Urologist: It sounds like you are having urinary frequency, but not necessarily incontinence. The first thing should be a full evaluation by a urologist and I am sure that he will perform urodynamic tests. Additionally an evaluation by a neurologist may also be necessary accompanied by an EMG & ncs.
