Some people are: more susceptible to them and they are caused by either bacteria from the top of the skin getting under the skin and then causing the boils or spreading internally. They can start by irritation to the area, such as shaving. They are treated with warm compresses, but sometimes need an oral antibiotic or surgical drainage. Please see and discuss with your doctor.
