It : It could possibly be an std, although there are other possibilities. Herpes, chancroid, or even syphilis can cause sores. However so can non-sexually transmitted diseases such as folliculitis or gland infections. Please have this checked out by your doctor or a gynecologist. If you have discharge, fever, or pain then you must be seen immediately.

Sores and Sex: It is not likely that there is an std unless there is a reason or outside exposure. But, it is not unheard of. Now. Sores on the vagina are much more likely to be hair follicle infection, abrasions or irritation from intercourse. It does not sound like herpes or syphilis or even staph infection. I always ask my patients with sore throats about allergies and other seasonal exposures.
