Yes: Surgical decompression can lead to neurologic symptoms such as this which if persist, worsen or are associated with any problems having bowel or bladder control see your surgeon immediately to rule out any further compression from a blood clot or hematoma or disc herniation. Otherwise, when there has been nerve manipulation during surgery, symptoms can occur and are usually transient.
