Helps with all : CIN is a precursor or an early stage of cervical cancer, so the HPV vaccine reduces the risk. The vaccine may provide some limited cross protection to HPV types besides those specified, and newer versions of the vaccine will cover more. We do not yet know how long the vaccine will provide protection but the results are very good so far.

Gardasil vaccine...: ...prevents 4 types of HPV, which cause 70% of cervical cancers and 90% of genital warts. A new version Gardasil-9 covers 5 more types (9 total), to prevent 90% of cervical cancers and CIN; ask if available in your country. Vaccine only prevents new HPV, no effect on existing HPV or CIN. 3 doses over 6 months. Research continuing on possible booster dose a few years later, but probably no need.
