It works with HPV -: Not cancer directly. It targets four strains of human papillomavirus (hpv-6, 11, 16, and 18). Hpv-16 is the cause of more than 50 percent of cervical cancers in women. Researchers have identified over 100 hpv strains.

Very effective!: Congratulations on being vaccinated against HPV! It is one of the most effective vaccines ever developed, virtually 100% against the 2 HPV types that cause about 70% of cervical cancers. One of the two vaccines (Gardasil) also prevents genital warts. In the next year or so, there will be a new vaccine that covers additional types, preventing over 90% of the cancer-causing HPV infections.
