A member asked:

Can taking a birth control pill more than 12 hours late last month affect when i get my period this month?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Birth control pills do not effect your period per say. Birth control pills prevent ovulation (release of Egg). Most women still experience their periods while on the pill, and the way you take the pill does not effect your periods timing. Period timing is determined by your estrogen and progesterone levels.
