He has the STD NGU: Any discharge from the penis almost always is an STD. The most common cause is nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). Chlamydia causes about 30% of NGU cases, so your partner is in the 70% for whom the exact cause is unknown. He still needs treatment, and you need to be examined, tested for common STDs, and treated. Same for any other recent sex partners he might have had. Good luck!
