Why?: The hpv vaccination is just like any other vaccination; you don't have to undergo a pelvic exam before it. If you have a standard pelvic exam, you can always request your doctor not tell your parents about your virginity status, as it is really impossible to tell whether a broken hymen was done through sex, or through normal activity such as exercise, tampon use, etc.
