Safe yes. Effective?: Biotin and zinc are found naturally in a normal diet. Supplementation is rarely needed. The RDA of biotin is about 30 mcg/day. Whether high dose supplement promotes healthy hair/skin/nails is unknown, but it's probably safe. The RDA of zinc is about10 mg/day. I suspect you're taking 50 mg not 50 mcg ,which is safe,but there's no evidence that supplement beyond the RDA has any health benefits.
