No: It is not unusual with the low dose pills used today for periods to be extremely light and to skip an occasional period. There is simply not enough estrogen to grow much of a uterine lining. If there is reason to be concerned ( forgotten or skipped pills) do a pregnancy test but keep taking your pills. If skipping periods becomes frequent, your doctor might want to change you to a different pill.
