Why?: Why would you take medroxyprogesterone acetate along with Sprintec. Birth control pills already have more progestin than estrogen which can cause very light periods or skipped periods but can also cause bleeding. Estrogen helps the lining to heal after a period. Too much progestin can keep the lining from regrowing and healing. Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a progestin so it may keep u bleeding.
