Not competely: The lining of the uterus needs to resurface to stay healthy. Laike any surface of the body it only lasts so long. Longest without a period would be three months.

Many. : In fact most birth-control pills can be used to prevent a woman from having her period by not taking the placebo or last seven pills in most packs. Other options such as three months birth control poll packs or one year options. The ring (nuvaring) can be used similarly to avoid your menses (period) by continuous use changing out every four weeks. Doing so is considered safe.
