Treatment failure?: Presuming no new partner, not reinfection: The standard treatments are highly effective, but not perfect. Your treatment might have failed. Your partner could be negative because he is now immune; or maybe his test missed the infection. And depending on exactly what test was done, your positive result might be false. The important thing is that you both need to be retreated now.
