A member asked:

Me and my partner were treated for chlamydia at the same time and had unprotected sex a couple days later. i took a test a few weeks later and came back negative, is it possible that i really don't have the infection? im concerned because i'm pregnant.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible but unlikel: Mostly likely you were infected but were successfully treated, hence the negative test two weeks later. Chlamydia, if treated, will not harm to the infant. Active chlamydia infection at time of labor may infect the infant.
