Progestin: This is a progesterone mimicker. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit secretion of gonadotropins from pituitary gland and prevent lollicular matuaration. and ovulation. Other effects are to stimulate growth of mammary tissue. Many women will have some irregular bleeding with progestin like products.

Irregular: Bleeding is not uncommon for the first 3 months. You are unlikely pregnant but if concerned get a pregnancy test.
