Breakthrough bleedin: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working.

Not a problem: It is not typical, but not worrisome. As long as you haven't missed any of your pills, continue as usual. How you bleed on the pill has no impact on its protecting you from pregnancy. If you have missed pills, then get a pregnancy test to be safe. For more info www.Askyourgynecologist.Org.

Continue for now: I would need more info but this is what i recommend. You have to be in a birth control for at least 3 cycles or 3 months to really see if it has the effect you are looking for with it. You also have to be methodically compliant, not to skip days etc then in most cases you should be able to regulate the period if that is the desired effect besides contraception. Even if your period came a bit later.
