A 32-year-old female asked:

How can you get pregnant if you have high sex hormone binding globulin?

Shbg: Elevated shbg can decrease available sex steroids which can have a physiologic effect. This effect is part of the mechanism of action of oral contraceptives. Avoid meds or plant sources of estrogen (excessive soy). Many can self regulate because the feedback inhibition of the pituitary responds to free and not bound hormone.
