STD: This term is a general one which covers any condition transmitted through sexual contact, and depending on the type of sexual activity this can cover a lot of ground. The vdrl is a sensitive screening test for syphilis (one type of std), but can be falsely positive and needs follow-up testing for confirmation. Go and get thoroughly tested and do not have unprotected sex. Good luck.

I have tested positive to T.PALLIDUM and negative to the RPR (VDRL) does that mean I have the STD or do I have to consult the DR.
