Shrinkage: Lupron (leuprolide) will shrink your fibroids, but they will grow back after the medication is stopped. In addition, it will cause signs and symptoms of the menopause. Depending on the size of the fibroids, luprom is frequently used to shrink fibroids prior to definitive surgery to make the surgery easier.
