Herpes zoster: Shingles is a secondary eruption by the virus which causes chickenpox. It is like a squatter, in that once in your body it does not go away and may recur repeatedly. It usually occurs in the distribution of a single nerve root and does not cross the midline, involving only one side of the body. Your lesions should be seen by a doctor and diagnosed before trying to plan management.

Eval: Having Shingles 3 times by age 24 would be unusual in a healthy adult. I would recommend that this be examined by a physician for accurate diagnosis.
