Varying times. : There are more than 100 different types or hpv. Depending on where the infection is it may last as little as 6 months or as long as 10 years. Cervical infections typically are cleared by the body after 8-10 months in roughly 70% of the time.

HPV: Hpv infections are often cleared in those under 30. In patients over 30, the hpv infections are often persistent. Effects of the hpv (ie, warts, dysplasia) may go away, but the hpv may remain in the body.
