See below: Break-through bleeding is not uncommon on birth control pills, especially if she is new to them. See prescribing doc to make sure her pill has correct balance of estrogen & Progesterone for her. Make sure she takes them same time every day & doesn't miss any days. Weight gain/loss, stress, change in physical activity can also affect menses.
