Have appt for 2nd opinion on ruptured septated mass of unknown etiology. current options=lupron or surgery, no other testing done. can cause be found?

Surgery: If you have a complex mass that is ruptured, it poses a problem. First of all pain and or infection can results. Second of all it could be a tumor or some sort, cancerous or not cancerous. If it is endometriosis and ruptured then it can be a real problem. So most doctors would recommend a surgical diagnosis if the mass is persistent and especially if it is rupturing. Could cause long term problems.
