Can i get syphilis by sitting on an infected toilet seat?

Virtually impossible: When patients would tell me that they got an std from a toilet seat i would respond that this was a strange place to be having sex. Anything is possible, but you would have to postulate that someone deposited the organism there immediately before you sat down and that somehow it penetrated intact skin (which the treponema can do). This is highly improbable.
