Yes, not from IBS: Ibs does not cause bloody stools. Bloody stools can be seen with other conditions. Hemorrhoids can cause bright red blood on toilet paper, or in bowl, but so can rectal cancers. Blood coated on stool different from blood mixed in stool. Bloody stools can be seen with infection, inflammation, fragile blood vessels, diverticula (pockets), poor blood flow to bowel, polyps, cancers, etc. C ur doc.

Not: Usually unless the diagnosis is wrong or you have another problem with your bowels that has yet to be diagnosed. Ibs alone should not cause bloody stools except from irritation of hemorrhoids. Do not ignore this, get a proper evaluation.
