They both have the: same medications, but are slightly different. Ortho tri cyclen (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) has a slightly different amount of norgestimate each week and the same amount of ethinyl estradiol each week, as opposed to Mono-linyah, which has the same dose of both each of the 3 weeks. They both have a week of placebo for the 4th week. I would recommend speaking to your doctor to see if this substitution is OK with them.
