Irresponsible friend: assuming a sterile needle and syringe, as well as sterile saline solution were used, you should have very little to worry about. Make sure that tetanus status is up-to-date. Also, if the needle or syringe were not clean, or had been used before, then you could have been exposed to a number of serious diseases. See your family doctor for further evaluation, and stay away from this "friend".
