Rectal prolapse: Rectal prolapse typically occurs in elderly woman and is usually associated with such symptoms as pain, bleeding, and seepage. Although it can occur at any age, it is unlikely you have this condition. If something is protruding it most likely is a hemorrhoid which is not serious. However a rectal exam should be performed to rule out other causes.
