A member asked:

Does oral hpv cause warts first then cancer? or a sore then cancer? or once you get infected you get cancer ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaccination: Oral HPV usually does not cause warts, though it can. Vast majority of the people clear the virus and none the worse for it. Only a small minority get cancer. You are young enough for vaccination and should ask your doctor for HPV vaccination. See this site for more info. http://www.cdc.gov/std/hpv/stdfact-hpvandoropharyngealcancer.htm
