Treats genital warts: Podophyllin resin binds to the tubulin dimers and inhibits the polymerization causing disassembly of microtubule structure. Disruption of the microtubules arrests mitosis in metaphase. Thus it removes genital warts by stopping cell growth. It is a caustic resin & gets absorbed sustemically local application. In eyes can cause corneal and conjunctival damage.
