Hemorrhoids: The most likely cause of bright red bleeding, especially found on the toilet tissue, is hemorrhoids. These can be internal or external. Since you have looked and found no source or extra tissue externally it is likely to be internal hemorrhoids. Over the counter medications may help along with SITZ baths. If it worsens, becomes painful or does not clear seek a consult with your physician.
