Depo and yeast: Depo provera (medroxyprogesterone) has been used as birth control in ladies who have recurrent vaginal yeast infection as it makes yeast infections less likely and is not known as a cause of vaginal yeast infections.

Yes: Sometimes the Depo shots and other hormonal birth control can cause changes in vaginal pH that make you more susceptible to yeast. Get treated for this, if it keeps recurring, ask your doctor about changing your birth control.. Good luck!
