Sounds like: something called chelitis. Most cheilitis is caused by exogenous factors such as dryness and acute sun exposure. There can be other causes including vitamin deficiency (iron, B vitamins, folate). There also can be other infectious causes. See your doctor to discuss treatment strategies.

Perleche: This sounds like perleche. It is also called angular chilitis. It usually responds well to a topical moisterizing ointment or lip balm and or to an antifungal cream such as lotrimin (clotrimazole)

Sore corner of lip: This sounds like you are describing angular chelisis that has become infected. If this is a condition that you have had before then you may be predisposed to it. Iron, folate (folic acid) and vit. B12 deficiencies can cause this or just mouth breathing at night and drooling. Infections can be caused by bacteria and by fungus. It is important to see your doctor about this as it may need to be treated orally
