A member asked:

How much time should i wait before having sex with my wife after my prostate biopsy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3-7 days: The vast majority of urologists will advise their patients to refrain from having sexual intercourse from 3-7 days post-biopsy. To minimize excessive bleeding and concern, i tell my patients to resume sex when there has been no further visible bleeding in the urine or from the penis for 48-72 hrs and that they can normally expect some blood in their ejaculation fluid for as long as 2-3 months.
