Not necessary: The vaginal ring (Nuvaring) is very effective in preventing pregnancy when used correctly, 3 weeks vaginal use then 1 week ring free and repeat. If works primarily by suppressing ovulation. It also thickens the cervical mucus which may prevent sperm penetration. From what you describe it appears you are using it correctly and Plan B is not necessary.
