You need a correct diagnosis: An anal fissure and hemorrhoids are two entirely different things. You need to get the correct diagnosis because the treatment of these issues are entirely different. Go get another opinion. Are you sure you saw a physician?

Taking Stool Softeners and increasing your water intake every day may also help with this problem. If you are constipated or have hard stools, it is difficult to have this problem heal properly.

Treat fissure: Fissure needs to be treated too. Banding will not resolve that. See a contextual surgeon.
