Be gentle: Pain with washing but not with bowel movements usually is due to washing too vigorously and irritating the skin around the anus. Be very gentle, do not use a wash clothe and hypoallergenic soap (if any). If it does not improve see a colon and rectal surgeon so a thorough examination can be done.
