See your doctor.: An abscess rupturing is actually a good thing in most cases, in that the infection is now draining. The problem is that allowing an abscess to rupture is usually not complete and adequate drainage. A physician should examine you to make sure further surgical drainage is not needed, and it is likely that you would benefit from an antibiotic.
