Yeast Infection: There is no std that causes white discharge and itching. This sounds like a common yeast infection. Most yeast infection medications are available over the counter without a physician's prescription.

Please bring this up with your Gynecologist who knows your medical history and can give you a through exam. If you don't have confidence in your Doctor see another for a second opinion.
