See answer : The "knot" you feel at the site of the antibiotic injection in your butt is most likely either a small collection of blood called a hematoma or an inflammatory reaction to the antibiotic itself. In either case, quite common and almost always a self-limiting problem that will usually resolve completely in 2-4 weeks if not sooner. Application of heat can be helpful.
