Have it checked out: It sounds like you have a series of "lumps" or lymph nodes that are painful particularly on your left side. You should have it checked out to make sure there isn't an infection going on. Don't forget that the lymph nodes act as a drainage and filtration system to try to stop infection. They will swell and be painful. You also want to be sure the lymph nodes are not swollen because of cancer.
