Cyst vs gen. herpes: The bartholin's glands (which secrete fluid that helps lubricate the vagina) are located on each side of the vaginal opening. If glands become obstructed, then fluid starts to back up into the gland, turns into bartholin's cyst(under skin lump).Genital herpes are usually small red bumps or tiny white blisters may appear.Cyst=lump under skin, genital herpes=small white blisters.
