A member asked:

What does chronic biapical plueroparenchymal thinkening or scarring mean ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possibilities: This means that when they took a chest x-ray on you, they saw some thickening of the tissues at the top of the lungs. Since it is chronic, it appears to have been there for awhile. This could be a result of scarring from pneumonia or lung inflammations in the post or ongoing. A thorough history and examination, while may not reveal a cause, could r/o something more serious. See a doctor.
