A member asked:

Is having a toothache a symptom of oral herpes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not generally: Oral herpes simplex infection usually presents as blisters which break down and form shallow tender ulcers on the lips and areas of the oral linings (mucosa). If the local nerve is affected it is conceivable that pain could be referred to a tooth, but this is unlikely. If you have a toothache please go see your dentist. Do not ignore this.
