Latency is 3-6d: Any contact with an active herpes lesion (cold sore, wart, etc.) can lead to transmission of the herpes simplex virus, so yes it is possible to get oral herpes, especially if your partner was ever infected. The incubation period is generally 3 days to about 1 week, so at 3 months I think you're out of the danger zone. However, reinfection and reactivation of virus can occur, so practice safe sex.

Possible, not common: Performing oral sex on a partner with genital herpes could risk oral infection. However, it is quite uncommon. If you didn't develop symptoms (oral sores, sore throat, etc) within a few days, then probably you weren't infected. It's time to stop worrying about it!
