Question's too broad: Your question is too broad. A bunion is a deformity in the foot in which there is an increased angle between the 1st and 2nd metatarsals and there can be an associated subluxation of the toe (hallux) at the area of the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint. In severe deformities, the joint can be dislocated, but typically not referred to as "out of socket".
