Is there pain involved in a hiada scan?

Hiada scan: Usually there is no pain associated with the scan itself however it can precipitate a gallbladder attack.

Possible with CCK: The hida scan itself should be pain free aside from the intravenous injection. If the scan was ordered with cck (cholecystokinin), a medication that stimulates the gallbladder to contract, then it is possible that gallbladder symptoms, if present, could be duplicated.
