See doctor: Feeling mild pain around the time of ovulation is not unusual. If the pain is so bad that you cannot work or have intercourse to get pregnant then you should definitely see a doctor. Severe pain can be a sign of endometriosis or scar tissue on the ovary. Ultrasound may help but you may need a laparoscopy surgery for a complete diagnosis.
